Are you an F-1 student?

Indiana University–Fort Wayne's (IUFW) academic degree programs are not all available to those international students holding or seeking a student visa (F1 or J1). Please check with the International Admissions Office for available programs.

Help fund your education with admission-based scholarships

Funding your education is an important factor when it comes to choosing which college is the best fit for you. IU Fort Wayne supports high-achieving undergraduate international students with a variety of scholarships, which are awarded upon admission to qualified students.

These points will be helpful to keep in mind when considering IUFW's scholarships:


  • Apply by November 1 for maximum scholarship consideration if you plan to enroll at IU Fort Wayne in the fall term or by December 1 if you plan to enroll in the spring term.
  • Students are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for merit scholarships. However, you will need to submit them if you decide to apply for the Honors College competitive scholarships.
  • All scholarships require you to be enrolled full time in the fall and spring semesters.
  • Most admission-based scholarships require that you maintain a GPA of 3.0 to renew the scholarships from year to year.

IUFW awards a limited number of merit scholarships to incoming first-year international students each year.

These merit-based scholarships may cover up to $18,000 per year. The awards are renewable for four years. Students are automatically considered for these awards if you submit all required documents for admission by February 15. No separate application is required for merit scholarships. Students can receive ONE merit scholarship.

IU Fort Wayne awards a limited number of merit scholarships to incoming international transfer students each year. The awards are renewable for two years.
