If you are a freshman who will begin attending IU Fort Wayne in the Fall, you must pay a nonrefundable enrollment deposit of $100 to accept your offer of admission and secure your place in our freshman class. Your deposit will be applied to your first tuition bill.

You can pay your deposit online. As a reminder, your deposit is not refundable if you decide to attend somewhere other than IU Fort Wayne.

If you did not set up your computing account to check your admission status, you can also use the steps below to take care of this task. If you already have a computing account, you can follow the prompts to create your IU email account.
Please note that if you have ever previously been enrolled in or participated in a program at any IU campus and were given a 10-digit University ID number and username, you will use the same ID number and username to access your IU computing account (or use the steps above to set up your computing account if you have not already done so).
If you’re applying for need-based financial aid, be sure to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For priority awarding, be sure to fill out a new FAFSA each year between October 1 and April 15.
Remember to list IU Fort Wayne’s school code, E40457, on your application to ensure that your results are sent to IU Fort Wayne.

At IU Fort Wayne we offer more than 50 scholarships that you may be eligible for. All you need to do is simply complete the IU Scholarship application to be considered. The application opens in September and we recommend completing the application as soon as possible for maximum consideration.
As an IU Fort Wayne student, you'll have the same access to campus facilities, housing, services and activitiesas Purdue Fort Wayne students. In order to take advantage of these offerings, you must create a goPFW account.
Your FAN shows the estimated financial aid awards available to you for your first year at IU Fort Wayne. You’ll be able to see your financial aid for each semester and a total for the whole year. Your FAN also gives you details about your financial aid eligibility, expected costs, and other important information.
If you plan to live on campus, you can apply for housing starting in February. You will need your Purdue Fort Wayne Student ID number to apply for housing. Follow the steps above in the "Create your goPFW account" section to receive your Purdue Fort Wayne Student ID.
You must include the $20 non-refundable application fee + $250 refundable security deposit with your application.

If you have not taken ENGL 13100 as dual credit, AP, or at another institution, you will need to take your writing self-guided placement test which can be accessed through your goPFW account in the Enrollment tab.
Placement scores take 24 hours to load, then you can enroll in ENGL 13100 if placed into it.
The math placement test can be taken and completed online by logging into Brightspace and then clicking on the tab “PFW No End Date Non-Credit.”
You should allow at least one hour for the math placement test. Calculators, TI84CE or below, are allowed, and you will need a pencil and scratch paper.
The math placement test may be retaken once. On a retest, the scores will either be the same, higher, or lower. The highest score will be used.

New Student Orientation is designed to help you transition to the IU Fort Wayne community. It's an opportunity to meet other new students, learn about being a student at IU Fort Wayne, and receive guidance with the class registration process.

If you were admitted during your senior year, remember that you are required to graduate from high school to attend IU Fort Wayne. You are expected to complete all courses listed on your application for admission and to earn a grade of C or better in each class.
If these conditions are not met, it is your responsibility to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions before you begin at IU Fort Wayne. Failure to do so could result in a revocation of your acceptance.

If you’re enrolled in college courses (including dual-enrollment courses you have completed or will complete) at the time of admission, you must arrange for a final transcript to be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. You are expected to complete all courses listed on your application for admission, leave your former college with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), and be eligible to return to the college in good standing.
If these conditions are not met, it is your responsibility to contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions before you begin at IU Fort Wayne. Failure to do so could result in a revocation of your acceptance.
